David searches for Pullman's 'Ruby' in Brighton.

As part of the Brighton Festival Escapade Production are taking their production of Phillip Pullman's 'The Ruby in the Smoke' to Sweet St Andrews. Join David Sayers and the rest of the cast as they help Sally Lockhart solve the mystery of the ruby and why someone is willing to kill to get it! The production runs from the 29th May-4th June.

'Hang' returns to the Brighton Festival.

After a critically acclaimed run at last year's Edinburgh Festival Jessica Flood and Tiannah Viecheg are taking their production of 'Hang' to the Brighton Festival. Winner of Best Drama (Edinburgh Derek Awards), Yellow Jacket Production of 'Hang' is set in the near future where the death penalty has returned. Join Jessica and Tiannah in this 'utterly absorbing' (Three Weeks) production at the Sweet Waterfront 1 from the 22nd-28th May.

Brendan shines in an late Miller classic!

Performing at the Finborough Theatre until the 22nd April ‘Incident at Vichy’ is a 1964 play by the legendary Arthur Miller and deals with 8 individuals in 1942 France who are pulled in for questioning at Vichy police station. Unaware of why they are there the stakes rise as they are individually taken away for interrogation.

Alpha’s Brendan O’Rourke stars in this brilliant production that has received excellent reviews and has sold so well the theatre has already announced extra shows.

Abi presents a lecture in pure class!

In March Abi McLoughlin performed in the one-woman show ‘The Principle of Uncertainty’ at new London fringe venue Draper Hall.

In a tour de force performance Abi led the audience through a scientific lecture that resulted in an emotional breakdown for her character.

The production received great reviews and there are already plans to remount the production at the Edinburgh Festival this Summer.

Goodbye to three of our members.

It was one hell of a month in March with Alpha losing 3 of its female members. It’s with great sadness we say goodbye to Louisa Tee, Judith Quin and one of our longest serving members Elizabeth Ross. We wish them all the best for the future.
