Highlights: Abi has just finished filming as a series semi-regular in BBC's 'Doctors' and can still be caught on the big screen in this summer's blockbuster 'Hitman's Bodyguard'. Her one woman show, 'The Principle of Uncertainty', which received rave reviews from its EDINBURGH FRINGE run this August, is about to tour. Recent work includes Tennessee William's 'Confessional' at Southwark Playhouse and 'Blue /Orange' at The Rialto Theatre in BRIGHTON.
A strong and highly intelligent character actress with a busy stage career and a natural penchant for comedy, Abi worked for 12 years as a BBC news and factual Producer/Director and Reporter before taking voluntary redundancy, retraining at London's 'The Poor School' and following her dream. She's carved out a niche playing broken professional women with warmth and heart. A strong screen and stage presence and a versatile actress.
Abi played a news anchor in Slaughterbots - a Sci-fi short with a warning message about AI that was shown at the UN and funded by Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking among others. 2018 has been a busy year Abi, she has shot an international feature ‘Special Couple’ with Arif Rahman and Rupert Graves, and an art house film 'The Meeting' directed by international concert pianist Emre Sen. She’s also finished filming a semi regular character, Melissa Harding, for BBC Doctors and is set to reprise her role as Madam Arcati in York in September.
