Alpha was established 25 years ago by a group of actors who wanted greater insight into their industry and were keen to have greater autonomy over their careers.

From those early days Alpha has grown to its current 23 actors who are all trained via an accredited drama school or have a solid professional work history in the industry. It has been a great start to 2010 for New Alpha Members: Elliot James is already touring with Quantum Theatre in the South of France, until the end of February. Tom Lynam is not far behind, set to tour The Ghost of Canterville, in Italy, until the end of May. Samantha Lawson will also be touring the show, One Language, Many Voices, across Germany, returning in April. Frances Millar will be away in Holland doing Wake Reiss Opera until mid-June. Rebecca Livermore has been in Cheshire playing Tinkerbell in Peter Pan. Tim Goodman has completed shooting for the film, Oranges and Sunshine. Finally, Elizabeth Ross is successfully treading the boards in the West End production of An Inspector Calls until March.
