Tim Goodman
An imposing figure at six foot three, Tim Goodman is enjoying a second career
as an actor having left the business for twenty years to be artistic director
at Arts Ed. Before doing that his credits included a wide variety of major roles
in provincial rep, a stint with The English Shakespeare Company, playing Fyedka
in the original West End production of Fiddler On The Roof, and other West
End and touring roles such as Brutus in Julius Caesar, Young Marlowe in 'She
Stoops to Conquer', Norman in The Norman Conquests, and the title role in 'Alfie'.
Television credits included playing the lead role of Major Heyward in the classic
serial The Last Of The Mohicans for BBC TV, Dick Trevethick, the lead in the
six part ITV serial Iron Horse, directed by Leslie Norman and John Cartland
in The Crocodile directed by Dorothea Brookings for BBC Television.
Since leaving Arts Ed, Tim's work has included playing Jacob in Bill Kenwright's
production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Errol Flynn in
A Mask For A Face at the Aldwych, Ronald Reagan in Saving Reagan for the Discovery
Channel, Field Marshall Sir Allan Brooke in Tiger Aspect's Fooling Hitler,
General Rogers in Avoiding Armageddon for Channel 4 and Sir George Lynn in Susanna
White's latest production of Jane Eyre on BBC1. He is a frequent reader of recorded
books.
