Suzanne McKenzie
Currently on stage at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Torn Out Pages, written and directed by Jackie Kane, Suzanne is doing some incredibly emotionally challenging
work which displays her depth and versatility. She plays Elaine who discovers, aged 39, the real reasons behind her "issues" with men. The play has attracted fantastic four star reviews from Fringe Review and Three Weeks during its run so far.
Suzanne, a native Glaswegian whose natural accent belies her vulnerable quality,
is an engaging and intelligent actress with excellent RP. After graduating from
the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Suzanne made her screen debut
as Morag in David Blair's A Mug's Game for BBC Television.
Other television roles include Suki in Rab C Nesbitt. Most recently, she filmed
The Problem
with Pets, directed by Catriona Craig (currently in post-production) and
Lost
in F**cking Translation, a website viral by Quiet
Storm films for the anti sex-trafficking campaign launched by the Helen
Bamber Foundation.
Other theatre, includes Witchcraft at the Finborough Theatre directed by Bronwen Carr, and Amber in Fit, directed by Caroline Hunt for the Bristol
Old Vic. Suzanne has a quiet intensity which makes her an interesting choice for a wide range of
characters. Her showreel is available on her Spotlight page.
