Rachel Sternberg
A beguiling actress with a timeless beauty and a passion for physical theatre and devising new work, Rachel Sternberg is a graduate of Drama Studio London but her acting career actually began years earlier when she was accepted, age fifteen, by the National Youth Theatre and trained under director Orit Azaz. Before going to the Drama Studio, Rachel studied for her English degree at Queen’s College, Cambridge and, while there played Perdita in A Winter’s Tale, Ilsa in Spring Awakening and Ophelia in an American tour of Hamlet.
Most recent work includes being part of the six strong ensemble nominated for a Fringe First nominated Amy Evans' Strike at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Courtyard, Covent Garden; the suicidal Cassandra in Anna Birch's porduction of Broken at The Sir John Mills Theatre, Ipswich; the lead role of Andi, a sexually abused teenager, in John Woods’ production of The Self Report Of Andi at the Tavistock Centre and the part of Morse, a feisty twelve year old orphan in One Flea Spare at the Battersea Arts Centre.
