Emma Keele
Most recently seen on stage earlier this year in Torn Out Pages at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Emma played Rita, a mother who has kept a terrible secret from her daughter, a secret which has destroyed both of their lives. The play attracted fantastic four star reviews during its run, with Emma's performance being widely praised: "Emma Keele, as Rita the mother, gives a stunning performance" (Three Weeks) and "Keele’s despairing dance of fury and sorrow upon discovering her lover’s horrific betrayal is one of the most unique, moving moments I have witnessed in the theatre.(Fringe Review).

Slim and athletically built, Emma Keele is a warm, down-to-earth northern lass with a strong ear for accents. Her native accent can be Liverpudlian or Lancashire (she's from somewhere between the two), but she has also worked using RP, Cockney, West Country, Scottish and Northern Irish.

Emma trained at LAMDA and prior to this at the Artists Theatre School under the tutelage of Amanda Redman. She also has a degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies from Leeds University.

Emma is a trained dancer, trained to high standards in tap, jazz and ballet, but with a sound knowledge of salsa, flamenco and period dance too. Her strong movement skills have resulted in her working with various physical theatre companies, devising and performing in Asylum (Edinburgh Festival) and The Waste Land (UK tour).

On screen Emma played Joyce, a young mum struggling to cope with parenthood in An Unforgettable Crime and in This is Home playing Lucy, an office worker being sexually-harassed by her manager and bullied by her work colleagues.

On a lighter note, Emma is also a highly-skilled comedic actress. Displaying this most recently in Stalker at the Soho Theatre where she played an endearingly simple and comically obsessive stalker who was baffled as to why her target finds anything wrong with her behaviour.
