Carol is perfect for casting as strong, gritty, Northern women as well as
middle class caring professionals, which she demonstrated as housekeeper
Eunice Wooley in Heartbeat for Yorkshire Television, as June Aubrey in
Dalziel and Pascoe for the BBC, as Dr Morris in Family Affairs for Thames
Television and as Nurse Chisolm in The Bill for LWT.
Carol is ideal for casting in period roles, which include Princess Beatrice
in Victoria And Albert for Granite Films/Granada TV, and the feature film
Death Defying Acts in which Carol plays a persistent Scottish fan of Harry
Houdini, played by Pearce.
A highly skilled comic actress, with a well developed knack of fusing comedy
with tragedy, stage work includes the role of Audrey in Blue Remembered Hills at the Union Theatre, Sadie in The Rise And Fall Of
Little Voice at the Courtyard, Hereford and Kvashina in The Lower Depths at
Greenwich Playhouse.
Carols infectious laugh was also put to good use when she played the
laughing dinner lady in Love Soup for BBC1.
